“This Is It, Don’t Get Scared Now”

Hello, friends.

This is my last installment from the States–I ship out this Monday for Korea. I’m flying from Salt Lake to LA to Tokyo (be jealous, Mel) to Busan. I leave at 8:31 Monday morning and arrive 9:35 Tuesday night. Despite the time difference, that is still too much traveling.

Things have been good here–I’ve recovered from the stomach flu, which has made my life easier.

We got a new 2nd counsellor in our branch presidency–Brother Jennings, formerly President Jennings of the Busan mission. In case you were wondering, he is the father of Ken Jennings of Jeopardy fame. So I guess that is pretty awesome.

I feeel like I had a lot more to say, but I’ve suddenly forgotten it all. Oh, thank you to everyone who has sent me mail while I’ve been at the MTC, especially the flood that I’ve received this past week, which included (and I’m hoping to mention everyone) Mom, Melina, Debbie, Liz, Joylyn, Hailey, Whitney, and a delicious package of cookies from Brother and Sister Thornton! I know I’m forgetting someone. Sorry. I love you all. Next week I will love you all from Korea. I don’t know when my P-day will be, so there may not be a blog for a while. Thanks for all of your prayers, love and support.

About gwenogjones

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving for 18 months in the Korea Busan Mission (as of September 7, 2011). I have a fanatical obsession with Snape and the Harry Potter series (in that order), I recently graduated from university majoring in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations (Arabic). Prior to this major, I was working towards a degree in Jazz Saxophone performance; ergo, I love music. I also love reading, writing, painting, spending time with my friends, playing soccer, watching movies...the usual types of things early 20-somethings enjoy.
